Nature in Frame 1
“Nature in Frame” is an exhibition of environmental photography. The important distinction between those terms was not lost on its young authors. While “nature” as a concept implies purity and absence of human touch, “environment” describes the relationship between humans and their surroundings. The photographers of “Nature in Frame” have captured it all - the bad, the good, and everything in-between. During the exchange, the participants worked in teams, focusing on 5 different topics: food and agriculture, landscape, pollution and waste, transportation and water. As a special touch, each photographer shows two pictures: the first taken in their home country, the second in Berlin.
The project activities were supported by Erasmus +.

Integration and understanding through literacy and art
Our project "Integration and Understanding through Literacy and Art" was born from the social changes that are constantly happening in our societies. Constant migrations are affecting our communities all the time, not only in the focus of recent refugee crises, but also in the sense of different kinds of constant migration of youth, middle age people, and older people - despite if the reasons and motivations for that are individual or collective. Experiences from integration are various and depend from affected group‘s motivation to build more aware, open, colourful society - to the moment when lone people are facing discrimination and marginalization based on xenophobic issues in their new living surrounding.

That is the main reason for choosing Jerusalem, Israel to be the venue for this project's implementation and experiencing the diversities.
During the project, through personal engagement of participants, we had experienced multiculturalism of the active societies which are coexisting together. To achieve that, we used non-formal methodologies, specifically combined Micro non-fiction writing technique and artistic approach of which are giving us Comics. In this way, two different artistic skills were connected through short stories and comics based on participants experiences. Fostering intercultural communication made all attendees participate creatively, learn non-formally about communication across different cultures and social groups, and see how culture affects integration. It has helped participants to face the issues that normally appear within an organized social context that is made up of individuals from a different religious, social, ethnic and educational background. It has also shown how culture determinates, how individuals encode messages, what medium they choose for transmitting it and in which way messages are interpreted. Aside from language, in the group, intercultural communication focuses on social attributes, thought patterns and the cultures of different groups of people. It also involves the understanding of different cultures, languages and customs. At the end of the project final exhibition and presentation at the host country was presented. The project activities were supported by Erasmus +. |

Evaluation, Assessment and Recognition in Non Formal Education
Non Formal Education represents an efficient and effective tool to address properly the needs of young people in terms of education, training, acquisition of skills and competencies. Attending this tool, youth are capable of increasing their motivation, to accomplish their curriculum and to reduce the factors that produce NEET status, marginalisation and exclusion.
Self-assessment, evaluations and methods for recognising someone’s’ competences are very important steps in the curriculum of young people. It is especially important to address their needs of learning, to understand their level of |
knowledge and skills, to apply properly their competences in order to foster both social and human capital of young people.
This aspect is really important also for all those persons who work with young people in both non-formal and formal contexts (schools, youth centres, youth councils, institutions, etc.). That is the why teachers, youth workers, youth leaders, are looking forward for efficient methods to address the personal development of young people. This project idea has arised from the last Training Course "The power of non-formal education within formal contexts". With the venue in Chieti, Italy this seminary was conducted by Arci Chieti and its partners, and gathered 25 representatives coming from 15 countries. The main topic was non-formal education (NFE) and its assessment, evaluation and recognition, especially regarding the skills that young people usually gain from NFE activities and its recognition. The diversity of participants, in terms of background, expertise and approach, has contributed to an enriching activity for the participants. The programme has included informative moments as well as practical sessions, with good practices conducted in different countries, to assess skills gained in non-formal education, as well as frameworks used internationally such Council of Europe Youth Work Portfolio, European Union Youthpass and Passport of Competences experimented. Non Formal Education within Formal Contexts
Non Formal Education within Formal Contexts has been the project inspired by employment crisis affecting all Europe. More and more young citizens have a deep mistrust of the future, for the reason that there are a lot of young people who encountered so-called NEET (Not (engaged) in Education, Employment or Training), marginalisation (and/or self-marginalization). It is increasing issue as well as disregard for the public sphere, distrust on the educational curriculum and in the labour market.
According to the context, Non Formal Education could represent an efficient and effective tool with a purpose of bringing about development process for public institutions and institutions of formal education, and to address properly the needs of young people in terms of education, training, acquisition of skills and competences. Encouraged and motivated young people are abler to accomplish their curriculum, to reduce the NEET factors and, consequently, marginalization and exclusion. Because of that, "contamination" with Non-Formal Education methods in Formal Contexts is highly recommended, and youth centres, youth organisation, youth workers are welcome and fully supported to provide it. Non Formal Education in Formal Contexts was the project organized and implemented by Arci Chieti in cooperation with eight partner organizations, and it took place in Torino di Sangro, Italy. |
The project had gathered 30 participants - teachers, directors, youth workers, youth centres coordinators, social workers, educators from Italy, Slovenia, Belgium, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia and Albania, who were working together and shared knowledge and experience for future working improvement.

Facing the needs of people in One stop centre
Through our work with people in need (refugees, migrants) we addressed their diverse needs through consultations and within the context of the provision of resources. Up until now, through our various activities, as well as initiatives created with other partners, we are providing food packages, hygiene packs,

clothes etc. We are giving them also consultation support regarding new information in the “One stop centre” and assisting them in accessing adequate medical assistance (if needed).
With our previous projects we, as well as other groups of volunteers had distributed clothes and shoes. Due to the fact that people who are currently in Preševo camp where facing bad accommodation and had restricted access to the city, we needed to provide services in emergency and on small-scale flexible basis. There were some 600 people in the camp which was made of tents, big areas of an disused tobacco factory and some small fields in between. The weather was changing and there was constant need for new clothes for people according to the current weather conditions. By speaking with them, they had addressed few items necessary for them currently and in next period – at least till they continue their travel. The project was implemented by using our current activities and distribute items to the people who were in need of it. The project activities were supported by Schueler Helfen Leben. |
Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain
Through our work with people in need (refugees, migrants) we addressed their diverse needs through consultations and within the context of the provision of resources. Up until now, through our various activities, as well as initiatives created with other partners, we are providing food packages to people staying in the One stop centre.
We also provided support regarding travel and check points, as well as whom exactly to contact in case of any kind of medical problems. Every day there where more than 2000 new people passing through that had the same or similar needs, all having to face the constant change of weather with rain, wind and snow. The people that where travelling were not prepared for these conditions. Project activities were based on experience and the immediate situation experienced on the field, and we provided migrants with travel rain coats and help them to continue their travels more safely and protect themselves from the weather conditions. The project activities were supported by Schueler Helfen Leben. |
