about volunteering activities
Overview
Volunteering Activities - you can participate in the work of an organisation abroad. Volunteering projects involve many different kinds of activities in areas such as youth work, cultural activities, social care or environmental protection. You volunteer on an unpaid and full-time basis. What you achieve and learn through volunteering is certified Europe-wide through the Youthpass recognition tool and European Solidarity Corps (ESC) certificate. As an ESC volunteer you have access to the Online Linguistic Support that will help you to learn the language that you are using in your volunteer work. Online Linguistic Support (OLS) has been designed to assist ESC participants to improve their knowledge of the language in which they volunteer so that they can make the most of the experience. As the lack of language skills remains one of the main barriers to participation in youth mobility opportunities, the OLS makes linguistic support accessible, flexible and simple. It also contributes to reaching a one of the programme objectives, which is to promote language learning and linguistic diversity. Duration The ESC placement can last from a minimum of 2 weeks to a maximum of 12 months. Conditions You must be between the ages of 18 and 30 years old to volunteer. Financial support All essential costs related to your volunteer project are covered (accommodation, board and local transport that you may need). You will also receive a small amount of 'pocket money'. All volunteers are covered by insurance during their time abroad. |
How to apply The European Solidarity Corps (ESC) is the new European Union initiative which creates opportunities for young people, to volunteer or to take working engagement on projects in their own country or abroad that benefit communities and people around Europe. It is the continuation of previous European Volunteering Service (EVS). You can see available projects under Erasmus+ Volunteering Activities by opening an account and joining ESC. Available projects for volunteering activities you are able to find here, but for seeing details and applying for positions you need to open the account and join ESC. For implementation of Erasmus+ programme in the Republic of Serbia, Foundation Tempus is a responsible body. |
